Alison Krauss was born July 23, 1971, in Decatur, Illinois. LeAnn Kymes and her were among the youngest recipients of a Grammy Award. Alison Maria Krauss was born in the month of July 1971. Alison is a country and bluegrass artist. She began her career in the field at the age of a young child, and when she was a mere 10 years young. The year 1985 saw her signing by Rounder Records. Her first solo album debuted in 1987. She was asked to be a part of Alison Krauss & Union Station together with whom she performed.
