Niykee has experienced many a hectic few years which included being selected by Snoop to sing with him at the YouTube Brandcast May 2013 Niykee has a regular songwriting routine despite all this. Now a magnet for up-and-coming producers she constantly combs through beats that are sent to her and realizes that most are able to spark song ideas. It's only after five minutes that I know if a particular beat is worth it. From there, I get the idea of a complete song inside my head and start writing. My lyrics come to me when I'm on my patio, playing my guitar. Usually it takes under 30 minutes. Niykee continues to develop her skills as a poet and lyricist. She says that her experiences of suffering during her childhood has served as an infinite source of unique inspiration. "Even even if I'm not writing about my personal life the grief of losing my sister as well as my difficult childhood are incorporated into my music," she says. The memories influence my songs and builds this deeper significance behind everything that is among the most significant things that I value. It is important to me to realize that I could listen to any of my songs 20 years later and be happy with what I had to say.
